MSP430F6779 3-phase energy mete

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EVM430-F6779, MSP430F67461

Can any one help me for the three phase meter :

- How can i change in the calibration program to my parameters (e.g. CT ratio,....)

-Can i change the channels if i want the neutral to be measured by a normal ADC? if possible how i can to do that

Sorry for my bad English?

  • Hello Saber,

In regard to the first question, there isn’t a special setting for calibrating based on a CT turns ratio.  This should automatically be taken care of by normal calibration.

For the second question, neutral can be monitored by making sure that the NEUTRAL_MONITOR_SUPPORT macro is defined as mentioned in SLAA577.  Please note though that a sensor is not connected to the neutral channel of the EVM430-F6779 so nothing would be sensed by enabling this macro.

  • Hello JH,

    Many thanks for your reply

i have another question my company changed the controller to be msp430f67461 is that controller supported by TI energy library ?
If yes please tell me how to configure the channels for the volts and the currents because there is no example code for that controller and it has only 4 sigma/delta ADC so how to configure the remaining of the 7channels for 3 phase meter .

Many Thanks again and i appreciate your help
