Hello dear members, i am searching from few hours but unfortunately couldn't found a high previous voltage regulator ,i cam across LM2594 but it only supply 250mA and voltage is also not 5 volt but in 4.85 volts, i need exact 5 volts, is there any voltage regulator suited for my needs ?

i also came across LM3411 but it only supplies 10 mA. i will use this power supply to excite my strain gauges.

kindly guide me.

Thanks Peter but 7805 is not very precise, it voltage is not very stable,i have used it many times, mostly its voltage is 4.95.

So many to choose from I limited it to Micrel and TI:
But with high current demands and fluctuation there will be voltage drops, so if you need precision you get a dual or second small one just for the reference use etc

Ali,

If you need better then 1% accuracy at 2 A then you will need a precision reference like TL431 and an external LDO power device.

Your best advice is likely from a different TI forum.
