Hi There,

I just completed the PCB of MSP430F6438. But the osc did not works.

I read the datasheet of the MCU. The XT1 just supply 32khz, 12pf default load capacitance for each pin inside and without any extra components which means I just need connect a 32.768khz crystal between xt1in and xt1out. It should be works

My crystal is 32.768khz, load capacitance is 6pf, MSR is 35kohm.

Is there someone know what happen.

Show your code. Did it work with some other hardware?

Thanks for your replay.

Is there some difference with other MCU. For normal MCU should get OSC before MCU be programmed code by JTAG.

I found the OSC did not work because the JTAG interface did not works.

If the MCU have not a OSC, how I can program any code into MCU?
