How to connect MSP-FET to MSP-TS430PW28A Rev 1.0 board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-TS430PW28A, MSP-FET

I have a MSP-TS430PW28A Rev 1.0 Board which i am trying to connect to MSP-FET.

1.) The circuit diagram says for JTAG you need to short Pins 2 and 3 for JP7 to JP12.

But there is only JP7 to JP9 there are no further jumpers there. what am i missing here?

2.) Dumb Question: is there a setting i need to do in compiler to select how it should program my Microcontroller: spy-bi wire or JTAG.

3.) Any Official TI documentation on how to connect FET to TS430PW28A Board?

For programming the device in 4-wire JTAG mode, set JP4 to JP9 in 2-3 position, for 2-wire SBW use connection 1-2 for JP4 to JP9. JP1 has to be set to Vcc-int and JP2 has to be closed.

You do not say what compiler you are using, but for CCS you do not have to set anything - it will auto-detect it.

The MSP-FET uses the 14-pin JTAG header that is identical on the target-board. Use the 14-pin cable that comes with MSP-FET. No need for any modifications here.
