my eZ430

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5509, CC1101

i am trying to install the Chronos-Setup for wireless access of the watch  in my pc with 64bit windows 8.1 pro but installation fails every time..

.it worked in my laptop with windows 7 version

urgent help needed..

  • Maybe you could describe a bit more than "fails everytime" ... ? like giving logs and stuff ?
Because otherwise the explanations/potential solutions will also "fail everytime" for no reason whatsoever ;)
  • first of all thanks for your kind reply...
the USB MSP430F5509/CC1101 RF access point when plugged in the pc gives no response...
when i open device and printers in control panel it is in 'unspecified'..i tried to trouble shoot but no result.

and when installing ez430 chronous setup the installation completes..and a driver installation window pops out and after some coping of data it says 'cannot complete the device driver installation wizard' installation failed.
  • Hi,
well I actually ended up with the same kind of cryptic message installing CCS after an installation was aborted, all I had to do was a fresh clean (uninstall everything cleanly) and reinstall. I tried not to do a full reinstall but that is the only solution that worked.

    anyway, some basic questions:
    - are you administrator of your machine ?
    - Isn't the software blocked by your firewall ?
    - did you try to uninstall everything reinstall everything ? (UNINSTALL first !)

hope that someone who had the exact same issue pops in ;)
  • yes i'm the administrator of my machine..

if it is blocked by firewall then what to do?

this time i uninstalled it from uninstall.exe in the windows..............and fresh installed..then same problem occurs..

    driver installation fails every time
  • is there any driver available for RF access point?
