I'm trying to download the software for microcontroller(MSP430FG6626) using MSP USB-Debug-Interface(MSP-FET430UIF) and I got this error

" Could not find device(or device not supported) ...

I'm using (MSP-TS430PZ100AUSB ) Target Board and 14-conductor cable ( JTAG)

My question is this Debug-Interface I'm using doesn't support (MSP430FG6626) ?

The MSP-TS430PZ100AUSB does support the MSP430FG6626. Please make sure that the device is properly oriented on the socket, the MSP-FET430UIF is connected to the target board correctly, and that the position of all jumpers are valid for JTAG communication (following Figure B-75 of the MSP430 Hardware Tools User's Guide, SLAU278).

Every thing I did seems right according to this User's Guide , MSP430FG6626 is oriented correctly on the socket, Jumpers JP5 to JP10 close 2-3,
Jumper JP3 close 1-2 and the MSP-FET430UIF is connected to the target board by 14-conductor cable it came with it .
and I still get same error " Could not find device(or device not supported) "

could be this error form MSP-FET430UIF ? is it not compatible with MSP430FG6626 or doesn't support it ?

The MSP-FET430UIF supports all programmable MSP430 and CC430 devices.

(At least it should!)

That's what I know , but what makes me think about this error could be from MSP-FET430UIF,
under Description it say " The next generation flash emulation tool, MSP-FET has been released and replaces the MSP-FET430UIF kit. The MSP-FET430UIF is no longer recommended for new designs."

The MSP-FET430UIF supports both the MSP430FG6626 and MSP-TS430PZ100AUSB. Is JP1 closed? Is the MSP-TS430PZ100AUSB brand new out-of-box and untampered with? Are you using the newest version of CCS?

JP1 is closed, both MSP-TS430PZ100AUSB and MSP430FG6626 brand new I received them couple days ago and I'm using IAR C/C++ Compiler for MSP430 6.40.1 (6.40.1.950)

Your MSP430 IAR IDE/compiler may not support the MSP430FG6626 device, please download the latest version of CCS and run an example code to see if it can program your MSP430.

For your reference, MSP-FET adds 3 major improvement to MSP-FET430UIF:
1. Enhanced performance (about 4X faster).
2. Add UART back channel (like XDS100/XDS110).
3. Add Energy Trace (like XDS110).
But MSP-FET430UIF is still working well for MSP430 chips.
