Unable to open the HID device

When using the bsl-scripter-windows.exe for my MSP430F5507 it terminate! 

MODE 5xx USB
Unable to open the HID device

Before that i get windows warning USB unit not recognized

- is that expected error/warning?

    Hello Tobias,

    Can you post the error message you are getting? 

    When you put the device into BSL mode, it should show up in Device Manger as a HID device with VID of 0x2047 and PID of 0x200.   If you see the HID device then it is ready for BSL download.  

    Are you using TI EVM board with the MSP430F5507 or your own custom board?

    Hi Arthi

    The error message on PC when connection MSP is "Device not recognized" 

    I get Device USB\VID_0000&PID_0002\6&2dc4c7c1&0&2 from Device Manager!

    Using my custom board the VUSB == always high

    PUR is controlled by user bottom

    Hi Tobias,

    When a device is placed in BSL mode it should show up in Device Manager as VID = 0x2047 and PID = 0x200.  My concern here is that even when you connect your custom board to the PC it gives you a "Device not recognized" message may mean that your hardware layout might not be correct.  

    Document SLAA457.pdf, figure 8, shows how to start a custom USB design.
