MSP430FR5969: MSP430FR5969 "Device not supported".

This indicates an issue with your JTAG/SBW connection from the FET tool to the target MSP430FR5969 device. Are you using the MSP-EXP430FR5969, MSP-TS430RGZ48C, or a custom-build EVM? What type of FET tool is being used? The MSP430FR5969 was not supported until IAR v5.50.1, you might want to try upgrading IAR versions or another IDE (CCS, FET-Pro430, etc.) to see if you can successfully communicate using one of these software programs.

I am using the TEXAS INSTRUMENTS USB-IF debugging FET tool.And i have tried the newer versions of IAR workbench but still the same error occurs.

what should i do now??

So you are using MSP-FET430UIF and have tried newer IAR versions without success, but what is your target board? Please provide a schematic and image of your test setup if using a custom EVM or a description of the jumper positions if using a TI-provided EVM.

My target board is MSP430FR5969

I understand that is the MSP430 device derivative but what is it populated on? The MSP-EXP430FR5969, MSP-TS430RGZ48C, or a custom-build EVM? If the MSP-EXP430FR5969 then have you also tried using the on-board eZ-FET?

Connect the LaunchPad to your PC and you should see the eZ-FET enumerate as a MSP Application UART and Debug Interface inside of your COM ports. Make sure that all jumpers are populated on the eZ-FET header row then attempt to program your target using IAR. You should also refer to the User's Guide: www.ti.com/.../slau535

Is this a brand new out-of-box LaunchPad? Please post a screenshot of the specific issue if you continue to encounter difficulty.

All of your jumper settings are correct, using the same configuration I am able to program my MSP-EXP430FR5969 using either the MSP-FET or eZ-FET. Please try using CCS or FET-Pro430 instead of IAR. If this succeeds then uninstall all instances of IAR from your computer and re-install the latest version.
