Hello,
We've been looking at the Multi-Parameter Bio-Signal Monitor Reference Design For Personal Monitoring. Are there any published test results for the features, temp sensing, ECG, GSR, respiration?

Hello Tom,
Are the answers you are looking for not provided by the TI Design User's Guide or respective part datasheets? The Test Results from Section 9 of TIDM-BIOSIGNMONITOR and TMP112 for temperature sensing, ADS1292R for ECG/respiration, LM4041/LMP2231 for GSR, etc? I will attempt to loop in someone who has more knowledge of this TI Design.
Regards,
Ryan
Ryan,
Thanks for following up. There are test results in section 9 of the design guide that mostly focuses on how much current is drawn by different parts of the device. I was more interested in test results of the features of the integrated bio-patch. We are considering building a few prototypes based on this design and we were curious how well it worked. How well did the ecg, gsr, temp sensing, etc work?
Regards,
Tom
Tom,
The ECG and respiration circuits were tested with patient/vital signs simulator (a Fluke MedSim 300B simulator). The performance obtain is comparable to the EVM and the app note http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sbaa181/sbaa181.pdf
The performance of the GSR sensor is trickier to measure due to the fact that it is harder so simulate. We did tested on a few persons with promising results. We strongly recommend to conduct a clinical trial to determine calibration values and determine performance of your final solution.
The performance of the TMP112A is listed here http://www.ti.com/product/TMP112 you can also check this http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00824

Daniel
