MSP430FR5972: MSP430FR5972 ADC12 AND COMP Function Setting

Hi Team,

In the data sheet, page 9, we can see that, P9SEL1 and P9SEL0 is all set to 1, the port function is Axx or Cxx, but no information whether Axx or Cxx is used.

There is also no much information in the user guide. Is it automatic choose by the MCU Core? Please help clarify. Thanks.

The ADC uses the pin when the ADC12INCHx and ADC12CHxMAP settings select the pin.
The comparator uses the pin when the CEIPSEL/CEIMSEL settings select the pin.

As shown in figure 6-5 in section 6.11.22.1, both the ADC and the comparator can be connected to the pin with analog switches. In theory, both could be active at the same time.
