MSP430F1222: FLASH MEMORY DATA RETENTION

Part Number: MSP430F1222
We are in program wide reviews of data retention of our programmable memory devices on our boards. The main part reason for this Review is FLASH TYPE parts that can lose data when left unpowered for an extended period of time in an extended temperature environment. I extended the memory parts to look at all memory parts on our boards. This brings me to the MSP430F1222IDW part on our boards. If the part gets properly programmed and we keep it in the specified environment that is mentioned in your datasheet, what are the risks (if any) for losing any data in this FLASH type device????

FYI, for FLASH BASED devices (ie. not this device), the data retention problem becomes Leakage current (in unpowered devices over an extended time/temperature environment), the memory cell loses charge and goes to a default unprogrammed state.

Thank you for your help in letting us understand any steps for concern for your part, the MSP430F1222IDW.

regards,
Dave Albert
