MSP430G2210: How to set the MSP-GANG in stand alone mode and setting the interface to SBW to replace JTAG?

Part Number: MSP430G2210
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-GANG,

hi,

i'm using the MSP-GANG to burn the MSP430G2210, I can success burn it in "interactive mode",

due to my HW is going the SBW way, i can set the interface from JTAG to SBW in MSP-GANG GUI,

but how to change the I/F at stand alone mode? it always in JTAG mode when under stand alone mode, i can't find anywhere to change via the box

  • Hi Erik,

Standalone mode is used to program devices from saved images on the MSP-GANG. The user interface in standalone mode is all done using the buttons on the MSP-GANG, not the GUI; thus explaining why you see all of the controls on the GUI deactivated.

In order to properly program an image of your configuration and program to MSP-GANG memory, please follow the instructions thoroughly explained in the User's Guide of the MSP-GANG (Section 2.1.4). Hope this helps!
