The device has a 16-Bit Cyclic Redundancy Checker (CRC) as described in Section 6.10.15 of the Datasheet and Chapter 15 of the Family User's Guide, does this answer your question?

I'm trying to implemet the "Verify_PSA" function but the CRC doesn't match. It seems all correct. Maybe this function is not supported ?

I'm using my programming tool (FlashRunner LAN) and trying to develop this MSP430FR family. I can program and verify (read out) but not verify CRC. Thanks.

I have no experience with FlashRunner LAN but the MSP430 JTAG Programming User's Guide explains PSA verification protocol in detail, please make sure your tool does the same: www.tij.co.jp/.../slau320z.pdf

Thanks for support. In linked pdf the "verify_PSA" is in Flash memory chapter, not in FRAM. Is also available for FRAM device? It's not clear for me.

VerifyPSA/VerifyPSA_430X for MSP430(X) architecture, VerifyPSA_430Xv2 for MSP430Xv2 architecture (of which FRxx devices are included). Section 1.3.7 of SLAU320 describes the differences between the two.

VerifyPSA_430Xv2 for MSP430Xv2 architecture you confirm it's working on MSP430FR5859? Because in my test the PSA_CRC value read by the device (after "IR_SHIFT_OUT_PSA" command) is always the start_addres-2 (=beginning value of PSA_CRC).

Maybe, if it's possible, can you send me the entire oscilloscope frame for the Verify_PSA procedure? So I can try to check and replicate it to my tool.

Hi, it's possible to have an oscilloscope image of the Verify_PSA procedure of a working one? So I can go step by step with mine and try to replicate yours. Because I'm not able to capture all steps with my instrument.

The MSP430FR5859 is a large memory model device with 20-bit addressing and MSP430Xv2 architecture and instructions.

I cannot based on my limited experience with the given resources, I will contact the author of the App Report but meanwhile I recommend that you review the VerifyPSA_430Xv2 function inside SBW430FR.c of the MSP432Host_SBW_MSP430FR project.
