MSP430F5524: MSP430F5524 Power Consumption.

Part Number: MSP430F5524

Dear TI Team.

I would like to ask you about the MSP430F5524.

Can you provide information on power consumption (or Current consumption) for the GPIO pin of the MSP430F5524?

  Thanks.

Happy New Year.

  • Hello!

The power consumption of a device is based off of what it is being used for and what power state it is in. The current consumption for the different power modes can be found in the datasheet along with the current consumption for different peripherals on chip. The GPIO's consume different amounts of current depending on what mode they are configured for. This e2e post dives a little deeper into how much current a GPIO pin can source or sink but if you are interested in determining current consumption for a given configuration then your best reference will be the power consumption sections in the datasheet.

    Best regards,
