Hello,

i am working on MSP430i2031 and operate 7 segment LCD display(NOT LED )

4com port and 13 segment line

i try to drive lcd using MSP430i2031 please how to operate this lcd provide example code.

Hello Hiren,

Thank you for your post. The MSP430I2031 does not feature an integrated LCD driver like our MSP430F6736A and MSP430F6779A devices. If you need to use the MSP430I2031, I would recommend using an LCD that can be controlled over a common communication interface such as I2C, SPI, etc.

thanks for reply.

but it is not cost effective solution.

if have example code which can drive LCD using GPIO pin. please provide us.

Hello Hiren,

MSP430i2031 has max 16 GPIO while your requirement 13x4 will need minimum 17 GPIO. You might require IO extender in this case and can use below link application note for implementing software LCD:
