MSP430FR60471: Zero Flow Correction

Part Number: MSP430FR60471
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDC1000

Hi TI Support Team,

From the 'Ultrasonic Design Center' user guide, we understand that the Zero Flow Offset can be applied in the "advanced parameters" tab. However this is a single fixed value and if we understand this correctly, all reported Delta TOF values below this value will be considered as zero. May we know how a false Delta TOF high under zero flow condition above the set offset is handled by the USS Library?

For instance, consider the below screenshot posted by a member,

The Delta TOF range is  -160 to 125 under zero flow conditions and say we set the Delta TOF offset in Advanced Tab to 200. From our experiences working with TDC1000, under practical circumstances due to the wave shifting in time due to amplitude variations, there will be few false Delta TOFs spikes above 200 reported under zero flow conditions similar to the 125 Delta TOF reported in above screen. The false spike value can be up-to 500 and since we can not set the Zero Offset to match these occasional highs, there should be an alternate mechanism to handle these.

Since most of the volume calculations are handled by USS Library, could you please let us know whether there is any provision in library to handle this scenarios.

Regards,

Ravi
