TIDM-BIOSIGNMONITOR: availability of samples for evaluation

Is this patch available for evaluation from TI or anyone else who may have made them?

I see these were manufactured by Cirexx. If samples are not readily available, would it be possible to get authorization from TI to Cirexx to run a small batch for eval purposes?

  • Hello,

Please reach out to your local TI Sales team and work with them to get authorization. I'm not familiar with this design, and unfortunately, we're unable to ship out any samples.

  • Hello Mohamood,

As James pointed out, we do not have any HW in stock.

HW design files are posted on the wepage, feel free to build this reference design using the files provided.

  • Hi James and Dan,

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my question. I have reached out to Cirexx and they have all the design files however, there seems to be some hesitation on their part to run a batch. Maybe they are not aware that TI has made it openly available for prototyping and evaluation. Probably, a confirmation from TI point of contact to Cirexx will be helpful. Otherwise, it will be treated as a new design and will incur NRE expenses. Naturally, in that case, we have to reach out to several vendors and evaluation results will be at the mercy of quality of the manufacturer. A proven source usually helps a lot in this process.

On a separate note, I am not really thrilled at the fact that with all the disclaimers and release of liabilities, etc., TI has made the decision not to provide samples; specially when designs from other sources, for example ADI, are commercially available which lack the same level of front end isolation as TI's design.

Again, thank you for taking the time.

  • Hello Mahmood,

This is  a reference design and not an EVM, for this reason we cannot provide samples.

Additionally, this is not a turn-key design, typically our customers use these reference design as a starting point to proof concepts or ideas.

They add and modify these reference designs to meet their requirements following TI's user's agreements expressed in the user's guide and other technical documentation.

We recommend you to work closely with your preferred contract manufacturer to make sure that it meets your needs and expectations.

    Best Regards,
