Hi Arun,

The MSP430AFE221 has no USB interface thus you would need to translate UART to USB an then connect to mobile phone. Please find this application note explaining how to connect the MSP430F5529 (with integrated USB) to Android phone. http://www.ti.com/lit/slaa630

Hi Arun,

I think the easiest way is a Bluetooth Smart connection (it only requires an additional Bluetooth smart modem).

Other Ways require more effort (WLAN for example (WLAN modem and Accesspoint)) and/or need to join Apples cumbersome MFi Program ...

Initially we have planned to go with Bluetooth but there are some limitation in final product so we are planning to go with USB interface.

Any other thoughts?

Hi Arun,

one thing you should consider. Apple iPhones don't have an USB Interface, instead they use their proprietary Lightning connector/interface (that might change in 2019).
Everything you want to do with Lightning connector/interface has to be approved and qualified by Apples MFi Program ...
