Hello,

I am trying to find a programming adapter for the 113 pin BGA MSP430F2616TZQWR. I need to build my own programmer for these parts, but nobody seems to be making such things.

Could anybody please lead me to the place where I could get the adapter?

Hi,

just to understand you correctly. You want to program these parts before soldering on a board right?
If so you would need to use sockets and provide the debug interface and supply to those sockets. TI sells a tool called Gang-Programmer to program multiple devices simultaneously. Please check out the product folder: www.ti.com/.../msp-gang

If you only want to program one device you can go with the MSP-FET programming tool.

Thank you for your response! Yes, I would need to program them before soldering onto the board. The 113 pin BGA is not a very popular (maybe it is even a TI proprietary style), and I can not find a socket for it. Maybe you know who manufactures such 113 pin BGA sockets?

Hi,

Here you can find a socket from YAMAICHI. www.yamaichi.de/.../bga-05-pitch.pdf
The MSP430F2616 grid array of the BGA is 12x12 @ 0.5mm pitch, so you need to look for a BGA 144.
