MSP430FR6879: can i use launchpad to program MSP430FR6879?

hi,

i am new in MSP430 base micro-controller Programming. i am currently working on msp430fr6879 but i am getting stuck to downloading hex ti MSP430, i did not have additional programmer , but have launch pad.

can i use launch pad to program msp430fr6879.

i had work experience with launch pad only. never used other MSP430 ICs. like MSP430FR6879.

if there is any other available please suggest me. i am using board based MSP430FR6879 and CCS.

I was hoping to see a TI response to this question. But it's not clear which Launchpad you have, or whether you want to use JTAG flashing or BSL.

I would firstly give you a common start page for MSP430 development tools as you said you are new in MSP430.

As George Hug (4247841) asked, which launchpad do you have? But let me assume you have a launchpad of MSP430FR6879. You can use the eZ-FET on the launchpad to program any other MSP430 devices by jumping the JTAG/SBW signals(J101) to your MSP430 board.
