i want to check by size of binary file in CCS 7.0.1 ide ...how to check ?

2)locate for binary file in CCS

Hey Siranjeevi,

Very sorry for the delay. Easiest way to check program size is to use the CCS generated .map file. This will be in the debug folder of the program after it's been built and compiled.

The .map file will show how much memory has been used for each memory segment.

thank you sir,

here i have seen my project folder *.map file size of 19(KB) in debug folder ..i dont about RAM size is 512bytes how it is possible for stoing this 19kb(KilloBytes).and this much size of file where it can store...

can you explain about this memory area and how to check in ccs?

Hey Siranjeevi,

When you open the map file in CCS, and it will show you the memory allocations for each section of Flash and RAM.

Here is an example:

You can see in this example that this device has 0x200 RAM. We're using 0x050 of it, leaving 0x1B0 still available.
