MSP430F149: program is not flashing in MSP430F149 controller

Dear All,

I am using MSP430F149 micro controller, previously MSP430F149 controller fuse is blown, so i changed MCU F149, now it showing Error “connecting to the target: Unknown device".

I saw the same issue related issues,

but how can i suspect my Controller board TMS,TCK,TDI,TDO and RST pins, previously program is flashing properly, MCU is getting 2.98v.

difference is previous MCU Rev S, now REV N, is there any problem due to of MCU REV.

please help to solve the issue.

Hey Mahdhu,

The Rev's shouldn't have any impact on the JTAG performance here and I couldn't find any errata that would suggest anything.

How did you replace the device? I'm suspicious that this could be a hardware issue like loose solder connection, bent pin, or rotated IC, etc.

Can you double check the hardware?

yes, correct, hardware is the issue, i placed MCU in wrong direction, know it is flashing fine, thanks for giving valuable information.
