Hi,

I am looking at MSP430FR2522IRHL BOOSTXL-CAPKEYPAD Evaluation board.

Can you share with me detailed information on this EVM PCB design (such as PWB layer stack, ground hatching trace width & gap, signal & ground gap, overlay max thickness etc)?

Would like to use this EVM layout as the benchmark for PCB design.

you can find the HW design files, as usually for our designs on the respective tool web page www.ti.com/.../getliterature.tsp
They contain all the requested information on the PCB design, you asked for. It also contains all drawings for the overlay.

End customer is trying to fabricate their prototype PCB and connect to MSP430FR2522 BOOSTXL-CAPKEYPAD EVM.

Does TI have any general design guidelines or recommendations for customer prototype PCB design?

Hi Phil,
the main point for information is the CapTIvate Technology Guide. This gets installed on your PC, when installing the CapTIvate Design Center GUI. www.ti.com/.../MSPCAPTDSNCTR This can be downloaded for free. There are dedicated sections on HW design.

Hi Phil,
could you please point the customer also to the mechanical, schematic and layout checklists in our design flow guide: www.ti.com/lit/slaa842. This should catch most questions. Some of this content is also available in tech guide, but this doc ties it together with a list of things to verify. Doing so, if there should remain additional questions, please compile a list of specific questions which they don’t think are addressed by the documentation.
BTW there is also an additional section on our CapTIvate portal, related to those topics.
