MSP430F2617: Internal Reference Calibration Data

Hello,

I understand how to apply the calibration data to a reading. My question is, does the calibration cancel all or just a portion of the error attributable to the datasheet internal REF tolerance specification of +/-4%?

Hi Chris,

The calibration data is tested under specific conditions, it's used to minimize the data error in this specific condition. TI stores this data for reference to adjust the data reading into the spec.

my understanding is that you need to use the calibration to get tolerance specified within datasheet.
