CAPTIVATE-BSWP: Captivate Design Center Tool Showing Garbage Legend on Charts

Part Number: CAPTIVATE-BSWP

In the "Channel Bar Chart" screen of the Captivate Design Center, the legends for the chart are seemingly random characters. "Channel Oscilloscope Plot" is similar.  I have tried re-installing but to no avail.

I am using: "Design Center version 1_80_00_30" 

How can I fix this?

    Hello Paul,

    We have not seen this issue before with different operating system.
    Could you please provide more information about your environment? What version of Windows and Java are you using? Could you please try it on another machine and see if you have the same issue.

    Could you please also send your C:\Users\<Yourusername>\CapTIvateDesignCenter_1_80_00_30\CapTIvateDesignCenterWorkspace\<Yourprojectname>\.plotProps directory to me? This directory contains the plot font information.

    Meanwhile our software team is looking into this for you.

    By the way I am actually using CAPTIVATE-CAPMINI; but, that was not a drop-down option when I posted this.

    I have attached the .plotProps folder.

    I am using up-to-date Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, x64 processor.  

    My Java is "Version 8 Update 211 (build 1.8.0_211-b12)"

    It is not convenient for me to try it on another machine. What is to be gained by trying it on another machine?

    Googling this problem turned up the solution. I turned on Windows "cleartype" and the problem went away. According to others with this problem, any modification to cleartype, tune it/turn it off/turn it on, will clear the problem.
