CAPTIVATE-FR2633: Stackup layout

Guru 16770 points
Part Number: CAPTIVATE-FR2633

Hi

Our customer considers capacitive touch using Captivate.

They had question about stackup.

Please see below file.

5554.e2e.xlsx

In their system, a gap between sensor sheet and PCB is ~10mm.
MCU, LED and all electrical components would be on PCB.

1.
Do you have any concern for this stackup?

2.
Ground planes would be only on PCB.
Could you please tell us layout recommendation in this case?

BestRegards

  • Hi na na78

Is this an application using ITO as the sensor sheet and if so is it a single layer?
Do you know if customer is using self or mutual capacitive sensing?
