MSP430F67451A: Foot print information

Part Number: MSP430F67451A

Hi team,

My customer wants to use the MSP430F67451A (to be exact MSP430F67451AIPEU), unfortunately they could not find the footprint information on this device package PEU (R-PQFP-G128).

Is it safe to say that he can use the PZ (S=PQFP-G100) Land Pattern on this? Looking forward to your advice.

Hello Renan,

I'm sorry to hear that. I'll pass along the feedback that the CAD files for the PEU package are missing. In the meantime, your customer could use the PZ device assuming enough of the I/O's can be accessed to meet their application requirements. On the slightly smaller PZ package, there may be more I/O's that share functions than the other package which may have more pins for individual functions. The other option would be for them to manually create the PEU footprint using mechanical data found under the Package | Pins section.
