MSP430FR2632: CapTIvate hyper-sensitivity

I have noticed that occasionally the mutual capacitance sliders will lose their calibration and become hyper-sensitive. Normally the sliders will only react to physical touches. However, when they become hyper-sensitive, they begin to react to anything that's hovering up to 3 or 4 inches (10 cm) away.

Does anyone have an idea of what may be causing this? Are there some config settings that I can modify that will prevent this from happening?

Under what condition and environment you experienced this behavior and can you always reproduce this behavior?

Hi Yiding,

It's a difficult problem to reproduce but we have had some reports of it happening in the field. I can't tell what causes it to happen since the environments are all very different.

Can we continue this over email? I have some proprietary information to share.
