I use:

Is this correct?

How I can tell to the linker that the application start from the addr 0x10000? What is the righ sintax for the gcc compiler linker?

You should define it in the linker file and you can take the document I send to you. You can refer to the boot side code.

I'm using GCC compiler and I don't know how modify the linker file.

I'm trying a different approch.

Interupts in ram for both bootloader and application, application with different reset vector, and jump or long jump at the app start point. I will back on the argument as soon as possible.

Due to we don't have a demo code to use the SD card to update the application code. But that sound interesting to me.

The steps to approach it

1. develop a function 1 code to get the data from the SD card

2. develop a function 2 code to handle the image data that read from the SD card to save at the address the that you want to save them

3. take the msp430f5529's boot code for demo code

4. generate the CMD file by the perl script and replace it in the msp430f5529's boot code

5. combine the function 1 and 2 with the boot code

But I'm using the MSP430GCC compiler instead of TI compiler, i don't find any doc. how to modify the linker (.ld) file for the application and bootloader.

I'm proceeding by trial and error.

I have already installed the CCS8 with msp430gcc compiler.

If you mean "why don't you use the TI compiler?" the answer is simple I have developed and debugged the application written for msp430gcc compiler.

I have new question, is the msp430gcc compiler (last version) able to compile application bigger than 64K without move manually  functions in FAR_ROM/HIROM?
