The lock up phenomenon of MSP430 occured on my customer's system.
Please tell us about the following:
If the MODOSC is not requested from SMCLK, is the device not enter lockup state?
Are PMM31 and PMM32 not applicable?

Hi,
To configure it, you can use LPM0/1 to test. If it doesn't lock up. You may meet the PMM31 and PMM32.
Using MODCLK or SMCLK all may cause this issue. You can see in PMM32 condition 2, it has no relationship with MODOSC.
