MSP430F249-EP: Analog wireless transmission from AE Sensor to ADUC842BSZ62-5

Part Number: MSP430F249-EP

Ad

  1. Hi,

I have an acoustic emission crack detection device which use an acoustic emission sensor at 100MHz connected through coaxial to a preamplifier which is using ADUC842BSZ62-5 for his high rate of sampling(I suppose).

The sensors are installed in the tool and the coaxial cable is connected and disconnected manual few times a day every time when the tool is changed. This cause some alteration of the recordings due to variation in coaxial connectors contact. I'm looking to change to a friction less connection for this data transmission but I'm struggling to identify an analog to analog transmitter-reception wireless device.

I'm looking forward to any of your recommendations.

  • All our RF devices are digital.

This typically means that the data you want to send/ receive comes/ are sent to a MCU.

Meaning that we don't have any device that you can out of the box use as a coax replacement in this case.

From a reliability standpoint it could look like the best solution would be to place the ADUC842BSZ62-5 close to the senor without coax between (if possible since I have no knowledge of what the detection device is) and then send the data from ADUC842BSZ62-5 over RF to where you need to use the data to avoid the coax connection.
