MSP430F5438A: can the P1 inputs of the MSP430F5438A be used for cap sensing like the MSP430F149?

There is a difference in the P1 ports on these two devices.

What method of capacitive sensing were you attempting?  Pin oscillation or RC time?

From customer:

We currently use a MSP430F149 that uses cap sensing for two cap sensors.  It uses the RC method.

They are changing design into two separate products MSP430FR5739 and MSP430F5438A based each. Sensors used on all three boards are the same. 

Will we be able to continue to use the RC method with these two parts?  Or need to use the RO method?
