CCS/MSP430F4152: Does TI-RTOS support MSP430F4152?

Hi,

I designed a PCB which used MSP430F4152 as controller. I am wondering if TI-RTOS could support this MCU? Or how can I use the driverlib for this MCU?

I want to use the easy-use APIs for my software design, but I could not find example for MSP430F4152.

Hi,

I am sorry that TI-RTOS doesn't recommend to be used on MSP430. And it hasn't be updated for a long time.

Here is the driverlib, you can find it if you download MSP430Ware: http://www.ti.com/tool/MSPWARE

Hi,

I downloaded the latest TI-RTOS installer, and then installed it on my PC scuuessfully.

I can create TI-RTOS project now, and still need time learn it, but why you do not recommend using TI-RTOS on MSP430? In my opinion, it's easy to use system-level APIs in driverlib.

Hi,

Yes we have TI-RTOS support MSP430. But I don't think you need a RTOS to run a software on MSP430. For learning, you can try it. For developing, it will cost you more time compared with only using driverlib.
