CCS/MSP-EXP430F5438: FFT Calculation

Part Number: MSP-EXP430F5438

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear team

I am using MSP-EXP430F5438 & MSP430F5438A and i want to do FFT Calculation.

I use Sine signal  (frequency: 1545HZ; phase: 0; amplitude: 100mv),

1). Which port of the  MSP-EXP430F5438  should this sine signal be added to?

2). How to see the operation result of FFT?

BR,

Susan

  • Hi Susan,

you can find all the information in the Experimenter's Board User's Guide. The code is available in the User's Experience code package

Please find here the link to the code

In the original code an on board microphone and an operational amplifier belong to the signal chain providing the audio signal for the FFT demo. The signal is connected to P6.5, means A5 ADC input. If you would like to apply your own signal and use the demo code as far as possible, you'd have to change the selected ADC input. P6.7/P7.4-7.7 would be available on a pin header P5,6,7.

You can find the description how to run the demo and select the FFT demo in the above UG.

    Best regards

  • Thanks!

  • Hi Susan,

no problem. You're welcome. Just one minor comment on the E2E system. In case you want to click "resolved my problem" and post a final response, please post the response first and then click on resolved. Doing it the opposite order will reopen the thread.

I am closing the thread from my side now.
