MSP430F149: Flash write timing question

Hi,

We were using "memcpy" function in intrinsics to write flash section (512 bytes).

The flash operating frequency is 400kHz.

We are using byte/word write mode instead of block write mode.

Could we have the issue of 64 bytes writing time exceeding Tcpt (4ms)?

Attached is the table we found from the spec showing the timing shouldn't be over 4ms.

Hello,

You can see the Examples on page 6 in the app note on MSP430 Flash memory characteristics at http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slaa334. If you are using 400 kHz frequency, you will have a time of 87 us for each write. With 4ms as the max cumulative time, this gives you ability to write < 45 bytes.
