MSP430F5335: MSP430F5335 RTC

Part Number: MSP430F5335

Hellow,

I have some questions about RTC.

*DVCC=3.3V,  Reset Pin(96pin) is pulled up 47k, and conected to GND through capacitor.

(MSP430™ Hardware Tools.pdf  Figure B-68. MSP-TS430PZ100C Target Socket Module, Schematic)

VBAT is conected Battery(2.6V).

Q1: When the DVCC is OFF(DVCC=0V, Reset pin(96pin) is HiZ, VBAT=2.6V), Is The internal Reset fixed Hi level by internal PU?

Best regards,

  • Hi,

When Reset pin is configured as reset function, the internal pullup resistor is enabled by default.

You can refer to this table (In datasheet):

    And attach VBAT switch overview:

  • Hi, Johnson-san

Thank you very much for your reply.

    I've more question.

When the DVCC is 0V and VBAT is 2.6V, is the internai pullup register enabled?

    Best Regards

  • Hi,

The Reset pin will be pulled up by default internally. The only concern is that when DVCC = 0V, the internal pull-up function cannot be completed even if the enable pull up, because DVCC provides I / O port power according to the user guide description, thus at this time, the I / O power may have been turned off.

Enable Backup Battery to supply power, the main program is no longer running. It only saves the data in the RAM and the RTC clock is running.

By the way, have you encountered any problems in VBAT + RTC + RST?

    Best Regards

    Johnson
