Hello,

Can we make more than 15 buttons with driven shield for water proof ?

Captivate supports up to 64 buttons with mutual capacitance method, but when driven shield is applied like TIDM-1021,we can make up to 15 buttons(TX:15 RX:1).

Is my understanding correct?

If yes, are there any way to make more than 15 buttons which can detect touch under IPX5 testing?

    Hello U-SK,

    Yes, you are correct.  Depending on the device variant, the maximum number of pins is 16.  Since the design for liquid tolerance technique requires each electrode to be separate from the others that allows only 15 RX and 1 TX.  I know the author of TIDM-1021 spent many, many hours looking at possible solutions and this works the best.
