MSP430F5528: Is it possible to use the on board MSP430F5528 on the FDC2214EVM to control stream reading data as a hardware timed process?

Part Number: MSP430F5528
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: FDC2214EVM,

Hello application Engineers,

I am doing a prototype using a FDC2214EVM, which has an on board microcontroller MSP430F5528. I use my own Labview application software for data stream reading, I did optimization on the data acquisition via changing the registers, however, I do not know why the stream reading stops occasionally for a few seconds to a couple of minutes as illustrated in the attached screenshot. It shows an approximately 10 seconds halt from 90s to 100s. The reading operation suspends at halt, meaning no data reading at all, it can resume data stream reading by itself after a short while. My guess is that one of other windows programs may take over its operation priority or the firmware is not optimized.  Could someone tell me if the on board MSP430 is able to make the data acquisition smooth as if it works as a hardware timed data acquisition unit? If yes, I would like to try a customer firmware and upload it to the FDC EVM unit.

Thanks,
