CCS/MSP430F2013: I2C without interrupt?

is there an example code which shows how to use the I2C-Interface (as master) without using interrupt?
Would be nice.

The examples are here (look for "_usi_"):

but I don't see any that don't use interrupts.

This person seems to have succeeded:with the G2231; I expect the USI is the same, though the pins may be different:
