ADC evaluation board with USB (with SPI) interface

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS7066EVM-PDK

Hello,

I am looking for a suggestion in selecting a suitable ADC evaluation kit with a USB (with SPI) interface. I would prefer having a 16bit ADC.

I want to perform some real-time processing with a signal and am planning to do it through this board.

Any guidance/suggestions in this matter would be useful.

  • Hi Anum,

Most of our evaluation modules have some sort of USB interface to get data  into the PC.  We usually have a two board setup where there is a host controller and an EVM that talk together and then use one of our GUIs to display performance details (THD, SNR, etc.).  Take a look at the ADS7066EVM-PDK for an example.

If you are looking for an ADC and SPI and a USB interface all in one package, the closest thing you will find is in the MSP430 microcontroller family of devices.
