MSP430F6659: Programming with MSP430 vs. gang programmer or debugger (MSP-FET430UIF)

Part Number: MSP430F6659
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5510

Our test fixtures use MSP430F6659IPZR to program our product using MSP430 MCU but what we noticed is that it is taking longer to program the product than if we use the gang programmer or debugger (MSP-FET430UIF). The MSP430F6659IPZR takes approximately 30 seconds to program vs ~5 seconds with the gang programmer

The recommended protocol in TI’s user guide/specifications. What is different between the gang programmer and the code/protocol in specs?
