MSP430F5528: MSP430 Overheating and not connecting Via JTAG

I've attached a schematic of how our PCB has the power supplied to the MSP. According to all documentation, I think I've wired it correctly but it seems to just get extremely hot and the MSP-FET can't communicate with the device. There's a 3.3 regulator and diodes which ensure back flow doesn't happen. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Raghav,

I see that DVCC2 (pin 40) is not sourced. AVSS2 (pin 39) is also not connected to GND. Is there a reason why these are not connected to the power and ground? Maybe that is causing the problem?

Is the MCU soldered right?

90/180/270 degree rotation leaves chance for getting the power pins connected to the right net

How much does the absorbed current is?

Did someone connected PSU wires wrong the first time?
