MSP430F6726A: Regarding current consumption at LPM0

Part Number: MSP430F6726A

Hi,

The current consumption when SMCLK = 1MHz is described in section 5.5 of the data sheet P37.

How much will the current consumption increase when SMCLK = 8MHz or 2MHz at VCC = 3V?

Best regards,

  • Hi,

Regarding the current consumption in LPM0 mode,

please tell me how much it will increase from 1MHz even when SMCLK = 4MHz.

Or is it okay to understand that the current consumption does not depend on the SMCLK frequency because it is in LPM0 mode?

    Best regards,

  • Hi,

I think you are talking about the ILPM0,1MHz in section 5.5, right?

It is the power consumption for low power mode 0 at the test condition of Watchdog driven by SMCLK=1MHz.

Sorry we haven't the test data for other SMCLK frequencies. You can do the test by yourself and see the result.

A reminder: it should be not exact the 89uA *4 for the 4MHz SMCLK. But I think it should be similar since the main power is consumed by DCO and Watchdog.

    Thanks,

    Lixin
