MSP430F6726A: Change the pull-up resistor to 4.7kΩ from 47kΩ

Part Number: MSP430F6726A

Hi,

My customers are testing ESD on their board using MSP430F6726A. We have seen the following document.

■MSP430 System ESD Troubleshooting Guide

3.3 Hardware Troubleshooting Guidelines

Figure 2. Recommended SBW Circuit for MSP430 MCUs

Since MSP430 resets during ESD testing, they want to change the pull-up resistor value of the reset pin to 4.7kΩ. They thought the increased current would make it more robust to noise.

Is it okay?

Regards,

Rei
