I understand there is no test data about coin or metal as touch objects.

Do you have any other documents like an application note or white paper for coin or metal as touch objects?

We have an application note about metal touch that use metal as touch panel, more information. 

We can use the captivate technology to detect metal we have some success application cases like use it to detect nail under wood board, or use it to detect a phone have been take out from display counter or using in the gas stove knob and so on. But I have not find any paper about them.
