MSP430F5340: Positive-going input threshold voltage

Part Number: MSP430F5340

Hi Team,

Our customer would like to clarify about the positive-going input threshold voltage stated at Section 5.7 of the datasheet of MSP430F534x. Here is his inquiry,

The "Positive-going input threshold voltage" is given as a range. Can you explain to me why this is a range? Is this due to production, temp, etc variations that can very the threshold voltage?

We are using 3.3V (as opposed to 3V) as Vcc. And we are seeing evidence of a 2.1 V Positive-going input threshold. If the range is not only due to production/environmental factors, I'd like to know what can be done to lower the threshold.

Thank you for your support

Regards,

Danilo
