Using the msp-exp430f5529lp dev kit with the BOOSTXL-TUSS470 to evaluate a sonic range finder. I have been searching to find the correct software to us the MSP-EXP430F5529LP and BOOSTXL-TUSS470. What software should I use. In the attempt to get it working I loaded FW onto the MSP-EXP430F5529LP and would like to go back to the factory FW. Where were can I get a copy of the MSP-EXP430F5529LP factory FW(out of box FW)?

Hi Andrew, May I confirm if the P/N of BOOSTXL-TUSS470 should be BOOSTXL-TUSS4470? can you find the software on SLDC021.ZIP on www.ti.com/.../BOOSTXL-TUSS4470

The sticker on the PCB has BOOSTXL-TUSS470, not 4470. I look at TI.com and could not find the 470 version. There is the 4470 version and the PCB looks same. so maybe it was miss labeled. I think that is the what I needed for software. Thank you :-)

One late piece to the puzzle, Do you know where to find a copy of the MSP-EXP430F5529LP factory Firmware (out of box FW)?

I think the code that is pre-loaded on the Launchpad is here:

As I recall (it's been a while) it allows the Launchpad to enumerate as a mouse.

Energia is the software that was used to change the code the first time and it is looking for a .ino file (I think). I am not seeing that type of file located at the link provided. Or what the file name would be called. Can you give me some direction. thanks

I would be a bit surprised if Energia was used to load the firmware into the Launchpad in manufacturing -- TI (formally) doesn't support Energia, though I think there are some Energia wizards on staff. The firmware I pointed to appears to do what I recall my Launchpads doing (though that was 6-7 years ago).

If you know more about this, I defer. I'm not aware of any .ino-s used to load factory firmware.

What software do you did/do you use to load FW on the launchpad. What is the FW file called and the extension associated with it that I should be looking for? I am a noob, just tinkering to try and figure out how to make it work. So, as much help as you can give would be appreciated.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about the code that came pre-loaded on the Launchpad when I (literally) took it out of the box. I never loaded that code (it was cute demo, but I was interested in something else).

If I wanted to load it I would use CCS to build the source and to load it. Do you have CCS, or only Energia?
