MSP430F449: Flasher software can't see FET device on Win 10 install

I have a new Win 10 computer. I installed the Flasher software to run on a MSP-FET430UIF programmer. I installed CCS_6_2 for drivers. I get "Couldn't find any connected USB FETs" message.

I can't find the FET device in the device manager list of devices. What is missing?

It might be MSP-FET430UIF not recognized. You can try following solutions:

1. You can download the latest CCS version to check again.

2. In the section 4.2 of MSP Debugger's User Guide, there is some tips for the MSP-FET430UIF or MSP-FET driver installation.

"The following procedure applies to operation under Windows: a. After connecting to the PC, the debug probe should be recognized automatically, as the USB device driver has been already installed together with the IDE. b. However, if the driver is not automatically detected, the "Found New Hardware wizard" starts. Follow the instructions and point the wizard to the driver files. The default location for CCS is: c:\ti\ccsv6\ccs_base\emulation\drivers\msp430\USB_CDC."

4. Change MSP-FET430UIF to MSP-FET.
