MSP-GANG: MSP-GANG failure to program more than 3 PCB

Please check if it can program 1 MCU through channel 5 to 8. It may caused by some connection issues.

all channel are working if i connect only 3 cables to programmer. Not important the order.

Is this the first time that you program the 8 MCUs at the same time? And please send the setting pages clearly so that we can analyze the problem. 

This are the settings. If is necessary something else please let me know

For better explanation: if  i connect more than 3 MCU to GANG the programmer will be waiting long time in this step. If i  pull out the cables from connector until will remain ANY 3 cables connected the programmer will run and program the MCU.

Because with firmware 01.01.05 can program up to 4 PCB in same time but with latest firmware only 3 i guess it is some firmware issues.

I never found the version 1.01.01.05 from ti.com. The latest version should be 1.03.03. The oldest version from TI.com is 1.02.06.00. Could you upgrade to the latest version?

Whatever i already wrote i use the latest firmware and it is not working.

Just curious. I are responsible for MSP GANG. because i already try everything what i know and it is not working.

How should be able to get in contact with MSP GANG development team? I have 2 GANG and i cannot use it

1, Please update to the latest version. We need do analyze from the latest version. 

2, Please get the error code which generated from the info status window. 

3, Please show the windows platform version.

 Before you update the version, please uninstall the whole gang sw. 

I follow your steps,

please find the result

1) uninstall , install software, check GANG firmware

2) try to program 4 MCU in the same time (boards can be programmed if i connect single cable to GANG)

GANG will not answer to PC and after some time will connect again in the same way as having a reset

The error showed the COM port was missed during the operation. It would be matched with your description that it will stuck for a while then reconnected. 

I just noticed that there is no VCC for target 5 and 6. And as the explanation from you for the older version, the older version can program at most 6 pcs at the same time. Also, 2 of 8 is powered off. 

I assumed that the power failed for your PCB. 

1, Try power on by Gang. 

2, Try reduce the power consumption on your PCB. 

3, Check and monitor the external power when programming.
