MSP430FG4617: Not able to programming MSP430 on new design

Part Number: MSP430FG4617
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-FET

Hi!

I'm running a test on a new PCB design with an MSP430FG4617 uC. I'm hand soldering the uC and other components for testing before sending it to my assembly service.

I'm only placing the components needed for debug/programming + the uC and things go wrong. It would apear that the uC enter in short circuit and I can't even plug the board to a PC (using MSP-FET debugger).

So my question would be about things that can go wrong by doing this.

Before connecting the MSP-FET programmer the resistance between DVDD and DGND it's OK (>50Mohms) but then enters in short circuit the resistances drops below 50Kohms.

I attached the schematics. The only components I'm placing are (all in file MSP430-2.png):

R16 - R17 - R18 - R19 - R20

C5 - C7 - C9 - C10 - C12

Y1 (32kHz cristal)

JTAG

PROG_PWR (power for debug/programming)

U2 (MSP430FG4617)

I'll be grateful for any tip or information.

Best regards,

Pedro.
